Run a Service Flow Discovery
After discovering a compute device, the next step is to identify the services running on it and understand how it communicates with other devices, including data transfer and service flows. This information is essential for mapping dependencies within business applications. For extended instructions, visit Run a Service Flow Discovery.
To Run a Service Flow
- Navigate to Discovery > Server Flows Schedule.
- Select the Organization and Site from the header where the discovery will be performed. The list of available compute devices will update based on your selection.
- Set the start and end dates for the schedule.
- Choose the recurrence interval for data collection.
- Click Get Devices to view the selected site's compute device list. Select one, multiple, or all devices, and click Submit to start the service flow discovery.
- Enter a descriptive name for the discovery.

- The scheduled service flows will appear in the table. The first discovery will begin after the specified interval.
- Once service flow is collected for a device, you can view it under Inventory > Select a Device > Device Details > Flows.
- This data is the foundation for the Application Flow Build process, which will be detailed in the next section.
